About Us

We are a group of Midwives dedicated to the Art of Midwifery and committed to improving the qualities of Maternal and Child Health services in Trinidad and Tobago.

We are a professional organización whose

membership is open to all Midwives, including those working the, private sector and in independent practice.

In July 1994 a handful of Midwives from the private and public sectors came together at the Port of Spain General Hospital to discuss the formation of an association.

After fourteen months of regular meetings, major planning, groundwork, research and lobbying for support, the Association was officially launched on Friday 29th September, 1995, and registered under the Companies Ordinance.
